Zelda Williams Suspends Social Media in Wake of Father's Death

Those sending negative thoughts to the Williams family pushed Robin's only daughter too far. Zelda has quit Twitter and Instagram following online harassment over her father's death.
Robin Williams was found deceased in his home in Tiburon, California, on Monday. The cause of death was suicide by hanging, authorities stated, and a rep for the actor confirmed the tragic news, saying the Oscar-winning actor had been "battling severe depression of late."
While the 25-year-old actress's social media accounts were flooded with mostly well wishes, a few anonymous users criticized the fact she didn't post enough pictures of her father; several sent graphic photoshopped images along with crude and hateful remarks.
"I will be leaving this account for a [sic] but while I heal and decide if I'll be deleting it or not. In this difficult time, please try to be respectful of the accounts of myself, my family and my friends," she shared on Instagram alongside a photo of a butterfly. "Mining our accounts for photos of dad, or judging me on the number of them is cruel and unnecessary. There are a couple throughout, but the real private moments I shared with him were precious, quiet, and believe it or not, not full of photos or 'selfies'.
"I shared him with a world where everyone was taking their photo with him, but I was lucky enough to spend time with him without cameras too," she continued. "That was more than enough, and I'm grateful for what little time I had. My favorite photos of family are framed in my house, not posted on social media, and they'll remain there. They would've wound up on the news or blogs then, and they certainly would now. That's not what I want for our memories together. Thank you for your respect and understanding in this difficult time. Goodbye. Xo."
On Tuesday, Zelda released an official statement on her Tumblr page regarding her father's passing.
"My family has always been private about our time spent together," Zelda began. "It was our way of keeping one thing that was ours, with a man we shared with an entire world. But now that’s gone, and I feel stripped bare. My last day with him was his birthday, and I will be forever grateful that my brothers and I got to spend that time alone with him, sharing gifts and laughter. He was always warm, even in his darkest moments. While I’ll never, ever understand how he could be loved so deeply and not find it in his heart to stay, there’s minor comfort in knowing our grief and loss, in some small way, is shared with millions. It doesn’t help the pain, but at least it’s a burden countless others now know we carry, and so many have offered to help lighten the load. Thank you for that."
In typical Robin fashion, Zelda also addressed those who weren't sending warm wishes her family's way with Williams wit.
"To those he touched who are sending kind words, know that one of his favorite things in the world was to make you all laugh," she continued. "As for those who are sending negativity, know that some small, giggling  part of him is sending a flock of pigeons to your house to poop on your car. Right after you’ve had it washed. After all, he loved to laugh too… Dad was, is and always will be one of the kindest, most generous, gentlest souls I’ve ever known, and while there are few things I know for certain right now, one of them is that not just my world, but the entire world is forever a little darker, less colorful and less full of laughter in his absence. We’ll just have to work twice as hard to fill it back up again.”
Robin's last Twitter and Instagram post was a message of love to his daughter on her 25th birthday: "#tbt and Happy Birthday to Ms. Zelda Rae Williams! Quarter of a century old today but always my baby girl. Happy Birthday @zeldawilliams Love you!"
While Zelda may have suspended her social media accounts on a negative note, she appreciated those making donations to St. Jude in his honor.

North West Modelling Debut

Just another day in the high-fashion life of baby North West.
North, the 1-year-old daughter of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, made her modeling debut in the latest edition of CR Fashion Book, the magazine founded by former Vogue Paris Editor-in-Chief Carine Roitfeld. The beautiful babe appears in a photo shot by Michael Avedon — who, interestingly, is the grandson of famed fashion photographer Richard Avedon — outfitted in a Chanel flower brooch and a handbag from the luxe label.
Posing for a fashion mag might be a big deal for most people of any age, but it's no big deal for North. After all, she did American Vogue months ago! She regularly rubs elbows with luminaries such as fashion's Anna Wintour (who happens to be Vogue's editor-in-chief) and the tech world's Steve Wozniak.

Not to mention the fact that Nori has a sweet wardrobe filled with swanky designers. Even the sparkling earrings the cutie is wearing in her photo shoot were given to her by jeweler-to-the-stars Lorraine Schwartz.
"They were a gift for North's first birthday [on June 15]," Schwartz revealed to E!. "They are approximately a half carat each.... I'm happy to call her my youngest client."
Expect to see North on the runways soon... at least, once she can walk long distances.

Best Mistake by Usher

Exes, the majority of us have them. While some can fondly reflect on these experiences for what they taught us, others can’t get past the sour taste that an ex-lover may have left in their mouths. Usher, however, seems to be one of those people who can appreciate past relationships for what he was able to learn from them.

During a recent interview with O magazine, Usher referred to his marriage to Tameka Raymond as his “best mistake.”
“Most people probably think I regret it because I ended up getting divorced, but it helped me learn that sometimes I think I know more than I actually do,” he told the publication.

Although their relationship ended in divorce, it’s nice to see that he hasn’t written the entire experience off as negative. You probably recall that their marriage came to a bitter end that included a lengthy divorce and an ugly court battle for custody of their two sons.

His ability to view their failed marriage as a plus instead of a minus is interesting, considering that many are expecting Tameka to air out their dirty laundry on her new reality show, “Atlanta Exes.” However, a few months back. Tameka told us that Usher is pretty supportive, as far as she knows, about her new endeavor.
“He’s supportive. He didn’t say anything negative about it. He didn’t say anything that I know of. He didn’t say that he didn’t want me to do it – not that he could – but I’d like to think he’s supportive of it.”

Babies + Break Ups

It was just a few weeks ago that Ciara rocked an identical hairstyle to Future’s and now she’s reportedly called off her engagement to the popular rapper.
You remember Brittni right? She’s one of Future’s Baby Mamas who Ciara was sending those subtweets to a while back (click HERE if you missed that).
While many say the break up was due to Future ‘cheating’ on Ciara, word on the curb is that he never really fully broke up with his baby mama Brittni Mealy and Ciara knew it way before she got knocked up.
I’m sure Ciara feels some kinda way after birthing a baby for a dude who never really fully committed.
Ciara and Future’s son is only 11wks old and while Brittani’s son by the rapper recently turned one last month.
Prior to courting Ciara, Future and Brittani were living together and if you recall, Brittani wasn’t too happy to see Ciara flaunting Future all over instagram.
Future revealed in an interview with Angie Martinez last year that he me Ciara as early as 2006.  It was during that first meeting, Future said, that he predicted he’d be in a relationship with her eventually.
Years later, the pair were reintroduced by their mutual label, Epic and as an effort to jump start both of their careers they began ‘dating’.  It didn’t take long for their constructed relationship to become a real life on and the two got engaged in October 2013.
Business is business and it seemed like a good look for them both.  They even shared a home in Los Angeles but Future still tip toed back to Atlanta to be with his other baby mama on several occasions.
Fast forward to now, and my sources reveal that Future has been back with Britanni for months now.
Catch this tea… while Ciara was spotted alone with her newborn time and time again, Brittani posted cryptic messages about ‘coming and going’…
In other news........

Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling‘s baby news stunned the world — and the couple themselves! RadarOnline.comhas learned that Mendes’ pregnancy was totally unplanned, and blindsided Gosling because their relationship had hit arough patch just before Mendes shared the news.

When Mendes, 40, discovered she was pregnant, “It was completely unplanned,” an insider told Radar. “Ryan was surprised, especially because they had broken up early last year, only to get back together.”

The stars first hooked up filming The Place Beyond the Pines three years ago, and have been through their shares of highs and lows since. Said the source of their rocky relationship, “Their disagreements always come back to a central issue: Eva wants to marry Ryan, but so far, he has resisted.”

Now, however, pregnant Mendes has moved in with Gosling at his bachelor pad, according to the source. “The house is quite small, and only has two bedrooms,” the source revealed. “Eva has been looking for a bigger house to live in with Ryan once the baby is born.”
But in the meantime, she couldn’t be happier.
“She’s been ready for motherhood for a while now and to be sharing this experience with Ryan is a dream come true for her!” a source told OK!, when the magazine broke the news that sent social media into overdrive.
As for Ryan, the insider told Radar that despite the element of surprise, “Ryan is excited to be a father, and will be very protective.”
That doesn’t mean it’s been smooth sailing lately, however.
Do you think Eva and Ryan will make it work? Let us know in the comments!

X-Men Continuity Problem

X-Men: Days of Future Past involves Wolverine time-traveling back to 1973 to change history. However, if you look at the previous six X-Men-related movies, you’ll see that the directors and writers have been messing with history all along — though not necessarily on purpose. After rewatching all seven films, we found six major incongruities that just don’t jibe — and you can’t blame Wolverine for these. (Spoilers follow for those who haven’t seen DOFP.)

When did Professor X and Magneto meet?In the original movie, Charles Xavier (played by Patrick Stewart) tells Wolverine, “When I was 17, I met a young man named Erik Lehnsherr,” aka Magneto (Ian McKellen). But in First Class, Charles (then played by James McAvoy) is seen as a child in 1944, and he meets Erik (Michael Fassbender) 18 years later in 1962. Director Bryan Singer takes the blame for that error, telling SciFiNow that he now regrets writing that line in the first script
.

When did Professor X and Magneto become enemies?First Class ends in 1962 with Charles and Erik having fought and split apart over their philosophical differences of whether humans and mutants can coexist.  But in the flashback to 1986 at the beginning of X-Men: The Last Stand, the two are apparently still friends, and they go together to recruit Jean Grey to enroll in Xavier’s school. And that’s not the only continuity problem with that scene…

When was Professor X paralyzed? In the climax of First Class, Magneto deflects a bullet that hits Xavier in the spine, causing him to lose the use of his legs. Days of Future Pastsees Charles in 1973 taking a drug that allows him to walk again but at the cost of his mutant powers; he eventually gives it up and returns to the wheelchair. However, in X-Men Origins: Wolverine (set in the late ’70s) and the mid-’80s flashback in Last Stand, Professor X can walk and use his psychic abilities.

How is Professor X alive (and still looking like himself)?Jean Grey disintegrates Xavier in the middle of The Last Stand, but it is set up that he can input his consciousness into another body, which he does during the post-credits scene. And while you don’t see the face of the vegetative coma patient he takes over, how it is that when he wakes up he still looks just like Professor X? Last Stand director Brett Ratner said in the DVD commentary that the man in the coma is Xavier’s twin brother, but Charles never mentions having a sibling in any movie. And even if he did, is his brother also confined to a wheelchair? Did he take a bullet for Magneto’s twin?

When did Professor X start his school?According to the official X-Men website 25moments.com, Xavier started his school for mutants in 1963. But in the first movie, the Professor says that Cyclops and Jean Grey “were some of my first students.” The timelines just don’t match up, with Prof. X first encountering Cyclops in the late ’70s in X-Men Origins, and subsequently recruiting Jean in the mid-’80s.

How are there two versions of some people?Moira MacTaggert, as played by Rose Byrne, is a young American CIA agent in the early ’60s in First Class. Moira MacTaggert as played by Olivia Williams is a not-much older Scottish geneticist in the modern day scenes of The Last Stand. Also, Emma Frost was a teenager in the ’70s in 2009’s Origins: Wolverine, but she was also an adult in 1962 in First Class (and — SPOILER — Magneto says she was killed sometime before 1973 in Days of Future Past). Plus, the hulking, mute Sabretooth of 2000’s X-Men is nothing like the verbose and clever Victor Creed (played by Liev Schrieber) in 2009’s Wolverine.

There are plenty of other smaller incongruities between the films. Xavier says he and Magneto built Cerebro in the first movie, but it was Hank “Beast” McCoy’s creation in First Class. Xavier doesn’t understand how Magneto’s helmet blocks his psychic powers in the 2000 original, but he does in the prequel. Little goofs like that get into the realm of nitpicking. Meanwhile, Bryan Singer says the next film, X-Men: Apocalypse, will be set in the 1980s, so who know how that will further scramble up the timeline. Maybe it will answer the biggest question of all: After 200 years, why hasn’t Wolverine ever tried a different hairstyle?

Love in Disguise (Marvel)

“Genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist.”
In this fan-favorite line from last summer’s mega-blockbuster The Avengers, Tony Stark describes how he is much more than just a man in a metal suit. Yet while Robert Downey Jr.’s delivery of the line demonstrates the character’s smartass charm, those qualities were originally written with a negative connotation for the character’s first comic-book appearance.
In the early 1960s, Stan Lee burst into the comic-book industry by creating superheroes out of everyday people with everyday problems. While Lee wrote complex stories about comic-book staples like soldiers and scientists, he also created dynamic heroes out of doctors, high schoolers and even warmongering industrialists. Basing Tony Stark on the erratic billionaire Howard Hughes, Lee -- along with his brother, writer Larry Lieber, and artists Don Heck and Jack Kirby -- introduced Iron Man in the 39th issue of Tales Of Suspense in 1963.
Stan Lee recalls in an interview for the first Iron Man film:
“I think I gave myself a dare. It was the height of the Cold War. The readers, the young readers, if there was one thing they hated, it was war, it was the military. So I got a hero who represented that to the hundredth degree. He was a weapons manufacturer, he was providing weapons for the Army, he was rich, he was an industrialist. I thought it would be fun to take the kind of character that nobody would like, none of our readers would like, and shove him down their throats and make them like him ... And he became very popular.”
In the years following his debut, Iron Man fought against the tyranny of communism, corporate crime, terrorism and alcoholism as a “second-tier” Marvel hero, despite always being a popular character amongst readers. However, in the 2006 crossover series Civil War, Marvel’s writers once more exhibited Tony’s conniving and abusive qualities, and the character’s veneration took a very big hit. It wasn’t until Downey's memorable portrayal of Tony Stark two years later in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that the character became both a household name and likable again.
While there are many interesting stories behind the creation of some of Marvel’s best-known characters, Stan Lee’s gamble of creating a character nobody should like is by far the most remarkable, and it paid off quite well in the end.

Leaked!!! The Expendables 3 betrayed

The Lions Gate Film Inc. unit of the Lions Gate Entertainment Corp. (NYSE:LGF) filed a lawsuit against BitTorrent protocol sites that leaked online an advance copy of “The Expendables 3,” whose release is scheduled for Aug. 15. In a filing with the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, Lions Gate said it learned of the leak July 24. The movie has already been downloaded more than a million times since then, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The lawsuit names as defendants John Does 1-10, who are the operators of billionuploads.com, dotsemper.com, hulkfile.eu, limetorrents.com, played.to and swankshare.com.
“By downloading one of these ‘torrent’ files associated with the Stolen Film from [one of the defendants], users join a ‘swarm’ where they download parts of the Stolen Film from many different users and also upload to other users parts of the Stolen Film they have already received, until eventually they have reproduced the entire Stolen Film on their own hard drives and in most cases have also uploaded all or a substantial part of the Stolen Film to others,” the lawsuit states. The Hollywood Reporter is hosting a copy of the filing on its site.
Lions Gate is requesting in its suit that “the Court enter a temporary restraining order, a preliminary injunction and a permanent injunction ... prohibiting Defendants [and others] from ... hosting, linking to, distributing, reproducing, performing, selling, offering for sale, making available for download, streaming or making any other use of any copy or copies of the Stolen Film or any portion thereof in any form.”
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or ICE, apparently began investigating the case after Lions Gate sought the aid of law-enforcement agencies in locating the film’s pirates, Deadlinereported. It quoted an ICE public-affairs officer as saying Friday, “It is our policy to neither confirm or deny that an investigation is under way, unless or until it results in some type of public enforcement action.”
The all-star cast of “The Expendables 3” includes Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Mel Gibson, Harrison Ford, Wesley Snipes, Dolph Lundgren and Antonio Banderas, among others.
